This was both an educational read and an activity book. Most every chapter had a quiz or two and an exercise to work through with your spouse. I enjoyed this book. I saved some of the games and exercises in the chapters in order to do them over again later as well. I was happy to read something different relating to relationship not so focused on communication techniques as how to focus on the positive and not to forget to reconnect as a friend and remember the good times together. He has some great examples of couples he has studied that are relatable and some that take the subject to an extreme to prove a point that his method works. My husband and I as we work through these quizzes are learning a lot about how we are interpreting our current situation. I read books like this for preventative measures and this ended up bringing to light some situations that could have been turned into a contemptuous event but was nipped in the butt early. I'm still going through one of the exercises where everyday there is a topic to think about involving your spouse throughout the day and at the beginning of each work day I send him a message of what I'm thinking about and get a response as he plays along.is recommend this book to anyone. It hits a lot of topics and has a lot of research to prove his points. I gave this five stars.
I started a blog so I can look back and see my life through the eyes of the books I read. A book a day keeps reality away!
