This was a book I couldn't put down. I was reading it every evening after work in the car ride to and from work and during lunch hours when I could sneak it in. I ended up staying up way too late last night because I just had to finish it and partly so I could write a review about it so everybody else would know how good it was. I have found a new author i like with reading it. They introduced quite a few characters to keep you intrigued so after the first chapter you wouldn't be able to figure out who ends up with who already and be waiting for the ending. It had great character building and little side stories and I will be reading some more from this author. Thank you for the read. Highly recommend.I gave this book five stars I felt like I knew the characters and was involved in the story. I liked the story line at its core but I don't prefer to read third person narrative books for this reason but I and in this case the author mixed up a few times which person they really should have been referring to. All those men got a little confusing but by the last chapter I didn't have to keep stopping to think of the back story for each to try and keep them straight. One thing that seemed to take up so much wasted space was the repetition though that got tiring repeating that she was field-rated, repeating her training and why was mentioned multiple times in each chapter in all its verbiage. Other than that it was a different and interesting plot and now realizing it is a series I will be going out and see what else the author thought of going with this theme. It was a fun book a mix of adventure and romance. Thank you for the airport read I did end up staying up to finish the last two chapters once I got to my hotel so it did slowly build to a good ending. It got three stars in my book, it was a good book but the writing style took some points away for me.
A book like this makes me want to go to a bachelorette party in the crazy YOLO themed Vegas atmosphere, but nah I'm happily married. :) This was a free book I got off Amazon a while back and finally got around to reading. Beautiful came to mind but thats only because the end made that good impression that left me smiling. It was slow starting and a bit weird plot, but I enjoyed reading it. I would recommend this read and interested to hear what you have to say about it. It was an easy book to only be able to pick up every few days but had just enough level of interest that I kept coming back to it to slowly finish. I'd give it four stars because I could put it down but it did make me smile a few times and ended on a high note. I don't want to backtrack and tell you about books I've already finished and reviewed so I'll wait till some time over the weekend when I finish some books and post those as I go. For now though, hello and thank you, this should be fun. I try to keep my goodreads account up to date with my progress. I've started in the past two months getting authors to send me their manuscripts and books to read and review for them, that and having three different library cards I don't think I'll ever run low on material. If a few people start following my blog maybe we can organize a book club type deal and all get together on new books to read and talk about together. It's almost Friday! So enjoy your weekend fast approaching. |
