Airport Ranger volunteer Stacy Broussard expected a peaceful Saturday morning ride around the perimeter of Houston’s airport. What she encounters instead is a brutal homicide and a baffling mystery. Next to the body is an injured dog, the dead man’s motorcycle, and a drone armed with a laser capable of taking down a 747.
Though FBI Special Agent Alex LeBlanc sees a clear-cut case of terrorism, his past has taught him to be suspicious of everyone, even witnesses. Even bleeding-heart veterinarians like Stacy. But when her gruesome discovery is only the first in a string of incidences that throw her life into a tailspin, Alex begins to wonder if Stacy was targeted. As a health emergency endangers Stacy’s community, and the task force pulls in leads from all directions, Alex and Stacy must work together to prevent another deadly encounter.

Author Interview 3
What are some day jobs that you have held? If any of them impacted your writing, share an example. Mother. Secretarial positions. A day-care director. Every experience is a plus for a writer. My former job as a day-care director gave me valuable insight into children and parenting.
What do you like to read in your free time? Suspense. How-to books about the craft. Social media books.
What projects are you working on at the present? I’m currently working on the line edits for the second book in the FBI Task Force series - Deep Extraction. And I’m writing the third book in the series.
Do you have any strange writing habits you’d like to share with your readers? I write on the treadmill. My laptop fits nicely, and the neurons fire fast!
Just as your books inspire authors, what authors have inspired you to write? In the beginning Tracy Peterson and Lauraine Snelling were my best encouragers. Then on to Angela Hunt, James Scott Bell, and many more. Reading my favorite authors always challenge me to write better books: Joel Rosenberg, David Baldacci, Harlen Coben, and Steven James.
Who would you cast to play your characters in a movie version of your book?
Bridget Regan would play the role of Stacy Broussard.
Ryan Reynolds would play the role of Special Agent Alex LeBlanc.
Anthony Mackie would play the role of FBI Special Agent Ric Price.
Jacob Melton would play the role of Whitt.
If you were a superhero, what would your name be? What costume would you wear? My name would be Abby, the Adventure Woman. My costume would be green and yellow. Of course a cape. And I’d fly the speed of light.
